Webinar: The Use of a Golden Device to Validate Calibrations Prior to DUT Measurements

Presenter: Stefaan Sercu When calibrating a VNA, it is possible that the calibration is not performed perfectly. A bad contact between a measurement standard and a measurement cable is not uncommon. If that is the case, it is important that the calibration error is not propagated in the later performed DUT measurements and that it is detected as quick as possible. For this purpose, VNA suppliers offer (expensive) verification kits with verification standards or golden devices with known performance. This webinar discovers if it is really needed to use these expensive kits or if other options are available. Further, when a golden device is measured, and, due to all kind of variabilities, there is no perfect match between the obtained and expected measurement results, the webinar will discuss how to decide that the calibration is good enough or needs to be redone.
